Heightened Reality Games
Scenario 3: Player location adjusts story.
The story has a pre-written description of a location.
I followed her down the dark alley.
It was nighttime, but the dark somehow didn't seem to conceal, but to reveal.
I looked amongst the gravel in the yard but only found a sapling.
There was one critical clue, however: the same black flowers that were at the funeral.
The player is asked to describe or snap an image of their location in the real world.
Elements within the pre-written description are adjusted based upon the player input to match the real world.
I followed her down the bright path, the daylight didn't serve to hide but rather to highlight the building's grandeur.
I looked amongst the well-tended gardens but only found a lightpole standing tall.
There was one poignant reminder, however: the same pink blooms that lined the path at the memorial service.
